One DermKit can be shared with multiple users, but signing in manually can be a hassle. Learn to use the QR code to sign in on a DermKit and automate the process. You will need a DermKit and your personal phone. Your personal phone will store the login information for you after the first login, so that you can use your digital keychain on your personal phone to sign in on the DermKit by scanning the QR code - either through Face ID, passcode, or fingerprint scanning.
Step-by-step guide
The steps are simplified after the first time you log in using your private phone and QR code.
First time you use the QR code
On the DermKit, open DermLoop Capture. A QR code will appear.
Using your personal phone, scan the QR code with your camera app or QR code app. Open the link that your phone is detecting. Your browser will open.
CRUTIAL: During the next step when signing in, DO NOT IGNORE THE PROMPT TO REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD. Read carefully.
In the browser onyour personal phone, login using your email and password associated with DermLoop (most likely your work email). IMPORTANT: You will be prompted by your browser to save the password.
Press Save Password when prompted. The browser will load a new page.
On your private phone, when asked to authenticate your device, tap the 3-digit code that matches the text and color of the code on the DermKit device.
The DermKit phone should automatically log in. You can now register lesions.
After having used the QR code on your device before
Assuming you have done the above process before, logging in on the DermKit with the QR code and your personal phone is easy.
On the DermKit, open DermLoop Capture. A QR code will appear.

Your phone might ask if you want to Autofill the email and password. If you have recently logged in, this step will be skipped.
